Join us this fall for the fantastic Flute song collection! We'll gather our instruments and play along to the jazzy original "Blue St. Pat," search the "Pawpaw Patch," and climb aboard the "Train to the City." And those are only three of the twenty-five songs you'll learn, which include a mix of Music Together originals and beloved traditional songs. In addition to our weekly classes, your tuition includes recordings and materials you can use at home, including a beautiful illustrated songbook, access to the songs through the Music Together app and special online resources, such as music notation for our full collection, and more! Rhythm Kids^® (Ages 5-8)

Sept 11 - Nov 23 (10-weeks, No classes: Oct 14-19)

Prepare for fun this fall as we explore the new Alligator song collection, designed especially for kids ages 5-8. The Alligator song collection includes drumming patterns from Guinea, West Africa. These patterns often accompany a song and dance called "Kakilambe" a mask-dance song performed annually by the Baga people of Guinea to celebrate life and the growth of crops. We'll clap, stomp, and drum along to the lively beat of the Ghanaian singing game, “Tue Tue,” do some zydeco line dancing in "Alligator Zydeco," and tweedle deet our way through our unique version of the classic American folk song, “The Green Grass Grows All Around,” a new addition to the Alligator collection for 2025. Children will delight in imaginative play, drumming, and dancing with this rich, eclectic collection of songs and chants, specifically chosen to support your child's music development. Tuition includes our Alligator Collection recordings, songbook, and access to special drumming videos for practice at home.

This class requires a small (roughly 9" x 18") djembe drum to play in class and at home. If you don't have one already, when you register we will give you information about retailers that offer special discounts to our Rhythm Kids^® families. You can expect to pay around $100 for a good quality small drum, it will sound fantastic and last a long time -- they're also great for sing-alongs, drum circles, and jam sessions of all types!
